Nashville celebrates International Women's Day
American Telugu Association
(ATA) and ICON (Indian Community of Nashville
) celebrated their third International Women's Day atVanderbilt University
's Student Life Center on March 9, 2019. It was an event full of glamour, enthusiasm and excitement in a captivating environment. International Women's Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.Incessant rainfall, the entire day, could not dampen the spirit as it provided the Nashville ladies an opportunity to come under one roof and celebrate womanhood. Hundreds of ladies flocked the venue in their colourful attires and the whole auditorium as well as the venue had an electrifying ambience.
Fashion show, Women Shopping Mela, fun games and raffle draw, singing and dancing to DJ beats marked the day. The spicy cuisine served by Indian restaurants was the notable highlight for the event.
From the beginning of the event, RJ Andy and RJ Shaiely covered exclusive live Facebook feeds. They even kept the audience engaged in interviewing during the event. Colorful décor, photography, videography and audio-visual expertise helped make the event successful.
