We are in shock and still coming to terms with the news
On Thursday, news of the arrest of cricketers Sreesanth, Ankit Chavan and Ajit Chandilia for spot-fixing in IPL matches created quite a storm in the online and cricketing community. All three are players of the Shilpa Shetty-Raj Kundra owned team, Rajasthan Royals. Both Shilpa and Raj are taken aback by the players' alleged involvement in spot-fixing. While BCCI suspended the players pending enquiry, there were reports suggesting that action might be taken against the team as well.

However, Shilpa clarified, "It's being presumptious to say that BCCI might take action against the team. We are all in shock with this news, and still coming to terms with it. So, we will react once we have more information and concrete evidence. It's sad." Her hubby Raj took to a micro-blogging site (while he was on his way to meet buddy Sanjay Dutt before he surrendered to the cops) and tweeted: '@TheRajKundra: Just when IPL was going on so smoothly without controversies I woke up to the news of 3 RR players alleged spot fixing. Investigations r on.' 'When asked the repeated question is IPL fixed my answer is always IPL teams CAN'T be fixed but individual players who lack integrity can. (sic)'. Then he also added, '@TheRajKundra: It's just a bad for me today first RR and now en route to meet my brother Sanjay Dutt before he leaves for his sentence :( (sic).'
BCCI suspends players pending enquiry
In a statement, Sanjay Jagdale, secretary, BCCI said: "The BCCI is shocked and saddened at the recent developments. We will offer all cooperation to the Delhi police and all other authorities in their investigations in this matter. The IPL Governing Council has met and decided that the cricketers found involved will be dealt with severely. As of now, the three players — Ankeet Chavan, Ajit Chandila and S Sreesanth stand suspended pending enquiry."
