JAIPUR: Not only do Rajasthan Royals love to experiment with their batting lineup, they often throw a surprise or two at the pre-match media conferences.
On the eve of their match against Pune Warriors, young duo of Ashok Menaria and Dishant Yagnik turned up to address the media, visibly fresh from their six-wicket victory over Mumbai Indians on Friday.
Talking about the Sawai Mansingh Stadium track, which has now seen two low-scoring contests in succession, Menaria conceded both the toss and the pitch played a vital part in their wins over Kochi Tuskers and Mumbai Indians.

"It was nice to win the toss on both occasions. We know the track well and often visiting sides aim for 150-160 and end up way short," said Menaria.
"Batting second here is obviously the preferred option. Setting a target is a lot tougher as batsmen take time to gauge the slowness of the pitch. Anything around 100 is easy to chase."
The duo also took the opportunity to thank their skipper Shane Warne for showing faith in their abilities. "Shane is such an inspiration. He advises me on my bowling constantly and I have learnt a lot from him," said Menaria, who is still on a high after dismissing Sachin Tendulkar on Friday.
On his part, Yagnik said: "I am happy that I got an opportunity to play under Warne."
