Russell's antics irks Watson in IPL match

AHMEDABAD: Call it innovation or an act to unsettle the batsman but Andre Russell's antics baffled Rajasthan Royals captain Shane Watson after the Kolkata Knight Riders bowler delivered the ball after almost pulling out of his run up in an IPL match on Monday.
With the West Indian all-rounder giving the impression that he was not continuing with his third delivery in the innings' 18th over, Watson took his eyes off the ball before, to his astonishment, realising that the it has been delivered.
The Aussie protested with umpire Nigel Llong but he couldn't see what Russell was upto as the bowler was behind him.
After some confusion, the ball was counted as a legitimate one.
The unusual act worked for the Knight Riders as an irritated Watson was dismissed in the next over, getting out to a well-balanced catch by Suryakumar Yadav off the bowling of Sunil Narine.
