RPF nabs three with 288 bottles of liquor at Nagpur railway station
Nagpur: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Central Railway on Wednesday nabbed three persons at Nagpur railway station during separate actions for illegally ferrying liquor to Chandrapur district where prohibition is in force. The action was conducted jointly with the state excise department.
The smugglers opt train as it is a cheaper mode of transport to bring liquor to Nagpur before ferrying it to Chandrapur by bus.

This year so far more than dozen cases have been registered at RPF post in Nagpur under senior divisional security commissioner Jyoti Kumar Satija and substantial quantity of liquor seized.
In the latest action, RPF team comprising constables Vikas Sharma, Vivek Kanojia, BS Yadav, Rajanlal Gurjar and others under PI Virendra Gurjar arrested three persons in different raids, seizing 288 liquor bottles worth around Rs17,453.
The three accused likely to have arrived in city by Sanghamitra Express. The first arrested person has been identified as Raju Hiware from whom 35 bottles of branded liquor, worth Rs10, 353, were seized. He is a resident of Chandrapur.
In the second action, Satish Yadav, was nabbed with 125 bottles of country liquor worth around Rs3,250. In subsequent action, Kamlesh Khobragade was arrested with 128 bottles of country liquor worth around Rs3,406.
The three accused, along with the seized material, were later handed over to the state excise department for further action.
RPF holds blood donation camp on I-Day
On Independence Day, the RPF had organized a blood donation camp at the new waiting room of the Nagpur railway station. Apart from 25 RPF personnel, coolies and authorized vendors too donated blood. Total 71 donors were present.
