AHMEDABAD: So what if Ahmedabad does not have an IPL team of its own, they know how to adopt. The Rajashtan Royals teams which will be playing four of their 'home' matches at the Motera Stadium has brought back smile on city's people who were dying for some real time cricket action for a while.

The last T20 action happened in December 2012 with a cracker of a contest between India and arch rivals Pakistan. With no IPL action last year, this year's matches are more than welcomed by Amdavadis.
The evidence of their happiness can be gauged from the fact that on May 5 on a warm day, around 35,000 at the 48,000-seater stadium were present Rajasthan Royals match against KKR.
"With examinations and other tensions over, I feel this is the perfect family outing. And to see match with a two-ball hat-trick is worth the money we paid," said Jhalak Desai who saw the match with her in-laws.
Little Harsh Choksi was delighted to his beloved cricketer Shane Watson in thick of things. "I am glad RR won. I like Watson and Dravid. They are the best team in the IPL," 13-year-old Harsh said.
