Elections Results 2014: MPCC chief and ex-union minister Kantilal Bhuria trails

INDORE: Former MPCC chief and ex-union minister Kantilal Bhuria trailing in the tribal dominated Ratlam-Jhabua LS constituency to the BJP candidate Dilip Singh Bhuria.The seat has been held by the Congress candidate Bhuria since last four terms, but this year owing to factionalism and flaws in ticket distribution for the recent assembly elections, Congress party was wiped out in all the eight assembly seats in Ratlam, Jhabua and Alirajpur districts. The eight assembly constituencies in which the Congress was wiped out are: Sailana, Ratlam-city, Ratlam- Rural, Jhabua, Petlawad, Thandla, Alirajpur and Jobat.Perhaps, this would be the first time that the BJP has been showing the signs of making inroads into the Congress dominated tribal belt of Madhya Pradesh.
