Nagpur: As Happy Streets prepares to pull the curtains down on a successful edition, citizens are excited to revel in the carnival atmosphere once again before they bid adieu. A project by The Times of India and Maharashtra Times, Sunday marks the finale of Happy Streets for this season.
Vaibhav Vashisth, a tutor by profession, said he will miss shaking a leg to the music beats which was the highlight of the event. “I have been attending Happy Streets since the very beginning and I have enjoyed it thoroughly every time. The aura of the place is beautiful and the energy there is refreshing. I used to look forward to it every Sunday,” he said.
Shalini Singh said, “Since I’m a housewife, I used to barely go out as I didn’t get much time. But every Sunday, I made sure that I took some time out for Happy Streets because I loved seeing fresh faces excited for various activities. I always took my children for karate and zumba and they too enjoyed it to their fullest. I will miss these mornings.”
Student Divya Kathoke, a first time visitor at Happy Streets, said, “People from all around the city attend this event which led me to meet so many of my old friends and even school seniors. Among all the activities organized, I enjoyed dancing the most and I will definitely miss it.”
Another student, Khushi Shroff said, “At Happy Streets, I met so many of my old friends and we all attended the event together which made it more joyous.”
“This was my first year attending Happy Streets and I enjoyed it thoroughly,” said lawyer Vishwas Verma.
