NEW DELHI: Polar has made its foray into the
smartwatch segment with the launch of M600. The M600 is the company's first
Android
Wear device. The all-new smartwatch, which the company terms as "sport optimized smartwatch", bets big on fitness features.
It comes equipped with GPS, optical heart rate sensor and activity tracker. The M600 has a 1.32-inch TFT display with 240x240 pixel resolution. The display is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top. The Finnish company's watch is powered by a dual-core
MediaTek
processor paired with 512MB of RAM. It offers 4GB of internal storage and has a power button and front button for quick training control.
The
smartwatch is equipped to track sleep, steps, calories and also alert you in case you have been 'lazing around' for far too long.
The water-resistant smartwatch has Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and GPS support and claims to offer 2 days of battery backup.
Recently, French consumer electronics company
Withings launched a range of connected health devices in India. The range includes fitness watches, Wi-Fi scales and more.
The Nokia-owned company launched Withings Activite Pop, Activite Steel, Activite Sapphire, Pulse Ox smartwatches and fitness bands, Home HD camera, Aura sleep monitor and Blood Pressure Monitor.
Starting with wrist gears, the company's Activite Pop, Activite Steel, and Activite Sapphire trackers are priced at Rs 14,999, Rs 17,999, and Rs 34,999 respectively.
The
devices, as per the company, automatically track tasks such as running, walking, swimming, and more using the firm's own Connected Movement Technology. The tracker syncs with the updated
Withings Health Mate
app to show all the recorded information.
It comes in White and Black colour options and will be available globally at $329 by the end of Q3.
