HP launches Spectre, world's thinnest laptop
US technology giant HP has launched Spectre, touted as the
Another USP of the laptop is its copper design combined with carbon fiber that gives the laptop a premium look. It features 13.3-inch full HD screen with Corning Gorilla Glass. The laptop comes with 8GB LDDR3 RAM and 512GB SSD storage and runs on 6th generation Intel Core i5 and i7 processors.
It features a hybrid battery that lasts up to 9.45 hours on a single charge, according to the company. The laptop includes 3 Type-C USB I/O ports.
Priced the laptop at $1,249 (Rs 83,121 approx),
The company also launched EliteBook Folio notebook;
Elite Folio
EliteBook Folio notebook is HP's thinnest and lightest business notebook at a starting price of Rs 1,30,000. It measures 12.4mm and weighs less than 1kg. It comes with a polished diamond-cut CNC aluminum body and 180-degree flexibility.
The notebook features HP Premium Keyboard, a Windows 10 gesture-enabled clickpad, and two USB-C ports with Thunderbolt 3 for fast data transfers and 4K displays. The device is powered by Windows 10 Pro and and delivers up to 10 hours of battery backup.
Elite additions
Apart from Folio, HP also expanded its Elite series with HP EliteBook 1040 G3 and HP EliteBook 800 G3. Both devices run on Windows 10 Pro, 6th generation Intel Core vPro processors4, PCIe Gen3 SSD, and DDR4 memory. They come with Audio by Bang & Olufsen, HP Noise Reduction Software and HP Clear Sound Amp. The EliteBook 800 series is available in 12.5-inch, 14-inch or 15.6-inch screen sizes with HD, FHD, QHD or UHD display options at the starting price of Rs 85,000, while the EliteBook 1040 offers a choice of either FHD or QHD displays with 14-inch screen size at a starting price of Rs 1,30,000
Elite X3
Coming to Elite X3, it is a phablet, laptop and desktop business productivity device built into one. Powered by a Snapdragon 820 processor, the Elie X3 uses Windows 10 Continuum to transition between phone and a desktop PC. It comes with accessories such as HP Desk Dock for external monitor support.
Elite x3 also comes with retina unlock feature. The device will be available in India starting October, however, the company did not reveal its price.
Elite X2
The company also launched the successor to Elite X2 laptop-tablet hybrid. Sporting an aluminium body, the device measures 8.1 mm in thickness 12-inch HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4. Powered by Windows 10, the 2-in-1 runs on 6th generation Intel Core M vPro processor. It also comes with Bang & Olufsen sound and HP Noise Reduction Software. The device also incorporates an optional built-in 4G LTE modem.
