Xiaomi Redmi 3S with Android Marshmallow launched, priced at Rs 6,999 onwards
NEW DELHI: Xiaomi has launched its latest handset Redmi 3s in India. The company has launched two variants of the handset. The 2GB variant is priced at Rs 6,999 and the 3GB version comes with a price tag of Rs 8,999. The device will come in Dark grey, Silver and Gold ccolour options.
In terms of specifications, Xiaomi Redmi 3s features a 5-inch HD display with 720x1280 pixel resolution. The device is powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor paired with 2GB/3GB of RAM. It offers 16GB/32GB of internal storage, and supports microSD cards of up to 128GB in size. Redmi 3s comes with hybrid dual-sim support and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with Xiaomi's MIUI baked on top.
Xiaomi Redmi 3s flaunts a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front shooter for selfies. It also includes 4G, LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS as connectivity options, with a 4,100mAh battery rounding off the specsheet.
Last week, Xiaomi launched its Redmi Pro smartphone with dual-camera setup and deca-core processor in its home country China. The two cameras, the company claims, bring better image capturing and editing features to the device. They also make it possible to adjust the focus on the background or on the main subject, after capturing the image.
Xiaomi Redmi Pro sports a 5.5-inch Full HD OLED 2.5D curved display with 1080x1920 pixel resolution. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow topped up with a layer of MIUI 8. The phone is powered by a deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 processor paired with 3GB/4GB of RAM. It also has 32GB/64GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD cards.
It sports 13MP primary camera and a 5MP camera in the front.
