NEW DELHI: Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has officially launched the Redmi 3 Pro. The company has priced the device at $138 and will be available in gray, silver and gold colour options.

The smartphone flaunts a full-metal magnesium alloy unibody design and packs a massive 4,100 mAh battery. It has hybrid sim support which enables users to use secondary nano sim slot as a microSD card slot.


The Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro features a 5-inch HD display with 1280x720 pixels resolution. The handset runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system and is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor. The smartphone offers 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage which can be further expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card.

The smartphone sports a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front-facing camera for clicking selfies. On the connectivity front, the handset offers 4G, LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.


The Chinese manufacturer is also gearing up to launch its flagship smartphone Mi 5 in India on March 31. The Xiaomi Mi 5 flaunts a 5.15-inch full HD display with 1920x1080 pixels resolution. The handset runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor.
