NEW DELHI: South Korean technology giant Samsung has launched its third Tizen OS-based smartphone Z2 in India. Priced at Rs 4,590, the handset will be available on Paytm and offline stores starting August 29. It will come in Gold and Black colour variants.

The handset running on the company's own Tizen OS comes bundled with free Reliance Jio sim and 4G data services (for a limited period).

, which Samsung claims supports all major banks. Other pre-loaded apps include Ola, Quickr and Facebook.

It also has support for 12 local languages of India.

In terms of specs, Samsung Z2 sports a 4-inch WVGA display with a 854x480 pixel resolution. It features a 1.5GHz quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage with microSD card support of up to 128GB.

The smartphone sports a 5MP rear-camera and a VGA (0.3MP) front-facing snapper and a 1,500mAh battery, which as per the company delivers up to 8 hours of battery life.

Last year, Samsung launched two-Tizen based smartphones Samsung Z1 and Samsung Z3 in India priced at Rs 3,785 and Rs 5,590 respectively. While Samsung Z1 was launched in January 2015, Z3 made its India entry in October.

Recently, the company has reportedly cut the prices of its flagship smartphones -- Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge -- in India. Both the devices have received a price cut of Rs 5,000.
