Reliance Lyf Wind 2 smartphone with 6-inch HD display launched at Rs 8,200
NEW DELHI: Reliance has expanded its product portfolio with the launch of the Lyf Wind 2 smartphone. Priced at Rs 8,200, Lyf Wind 2 is the first smartphone in the Wind series to sport a 6-inch display and metallic frame design. The handset also comes equipped with BesLoudness, which is supposed to enhance the audio performance of the device.
Talking about the specifications, Lyf Wind 2 comes with VoLTE support and runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system. Powering the device is a quad-core MediaTek processor paired with 2GB of RAM. It offers 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card.
The smartphone has an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front camera. It is backed by a 2,850 mAh battery and offers 4G, LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS as connectivity options. The handset is also eligible for Jio 4G preview offer, which offers unlimited 4G, voice calls and SMSes for 3 months.
The smartphone comes only in one colour -- Gold.
Recently, Reliance launched its Lyf Earth 2 smartphone priced at Rs 21,599. The handset is available in Green, White, Gold and Midnight Black colour options. The device has a thick aluminium alloy frame and also incorporates a fingerprint sensor. The users can also customize 'fingerprints' to launch various apps.
The Lfy Earth 2 features a 5-inch Full HD display with 1920x1080 pixels resolution. The display is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The smartphone runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system and is powered by a 1.5 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615. The handset offers 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.
