NEW DELHI: Chinese smartphone maker Oppo has launched its latest handset A59. Priced at $274, the device will be available for pre-order on the company’s official online store starting June 18.
Oppo A59 comes with a metal unibody design having a Zirconium metal finish, and will come in Rose Gold and Gold colour options.
In terms of specifications, the Oppo A59 flaunts a 5.5-inch HD display with 720x1280 pixel resolution. It is powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core MediaTek processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. There’s 128GB of internal storage which can be expanded by microSD cards of the same capacity.
Oppo A59 runs Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system and houses a 3,075mAh battery. It features a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and an 8MP front-facing shooter. The handset also includes a fingerprint sensor and offers 4G, LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and USB OTG as connectivity options.
Last month, Oppo launched its F1 Plus FC Barcelona smartphone. The limited edition smartphone comes in a Blue and Red colour scheme with an 18K gold-plated football club insignia and FCB-themed UI.
The Chinese company is also offering a dedicated protective case with laser printed signatures of football stars like Lionel Messi , Neymar, Luis Suarez , Ivan Rakitic and Andres Iniesta. The case comes in blue colour.

The handset is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. It packs 64GB of internal storage which can be expanded further up to 128GB using a microSD card.
