Motorola unveils Moto G4 Play smartphone with 5-inch display, quad-core CPU

NEW DELHI: Lenovo-owned Motorola has introduced its Moto G4 Play smartphone. Available in black colour, the smartphone will go on sale globally later this summer. However, the company has not revealed any details about the pricing and availability of the G4 Play yet.

As for the specifications, the Moto G4 Play features a 5-inch HD display with 720x1280 pixels resolution. Running Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system, it is powered by a 1.4 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor.


The smartphone has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. The dual-sim device sports an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front-facing snapper for selfies. Connectivity options include 4G, LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. Battery capacity is 2,800 mAh with Quick Charging support.


Recently, Motorola launched its budget smartphones - Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus in India . The Moto G4 Plus bears a price tag of Rs 13,499 for the 2GB RAM/16GB storage version, while the 3GB RAM/32GB storage variant is priced at Rs 14,999. The G4 Plus is available for pre-order exclusively on Amazon India.
