Micromax launches Canvas XP 4G smartphone in India: Price, specifications & features revealed
NEW DELHI: Micromax has launched its latest smartphone Canvas XP 4G in India. Priced at Rs 7,499, the handset will be exclusively available on Snapdeal in black colour.
Talking about the specifications, the Micromax Canvas XP 4G sports a 5-inch HD display with 720x1280 pixels resolution. Powering the smartphone is a 1GHz Quad-core processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. It offers 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded further via a microSD card.
Coming to the cameras, the handset boasts an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front snapper for selfies. The handset comes with dual-sim functionality and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system. Connectivity options include 4G, LTE, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS. The Canvas XP 4G houses a 2,000 mAh battery.
Micromax recently announced a complete overhaul of its market strategy, in order to combat slow growth in the smartphone sector. Although originally a smartphone brand, the company has slowly expanded its focus to products as diverse as tablets, PCs, LED TVs and laptops.
The company is also looking forward to increasing domestic production to lessen its reliance on imports and achieve its 'Make in India' plans.
