Micromax Canvas Amaze 2 smartphone launched at Rs 7,499

NEW DELHI: Micromax has launched its latest smartphone Canvas Amaze 2 in India. Priced at Rs 7,499, the phone is exclusively available on Flipkart.

On the specifications front, Micromax Canvas Amaze 2 features a 5-inch HD display with 720x1280 pixel resolution protected with Corning Gorillas Glass 3. The device is powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 415 processor paired with 2GB of RAM. On-board storage of the smartphone stands at 16GB and can be further expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card.


Canvas Amaze 2 runs Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system and offers dual-sim functionality. It sports a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front camera for selfies. Connectivity options of the handset include 4G, LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. It is backed by a 2,500 mAh battery.

Recently, Micromax launched its Canvas Evoke series in India. The first smartphone to launch under the series is Canvas Evoke. Priced at Rs 8,499, the smartphone is available exclusively on Flipkart.


In terms of specifications, Micromax Canvas Evoke runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box. It features a 5.5-inch HD resolution display with a pixel density of 267ppi and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It also has a 2.5D glass front panel. Under-the-hood, the handset packs an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 415 processor, clubbed with 3GB LPDDR3 RAM and Adreno 405 GPU.
