NEW DELHI: Gionee has launched its S6 Pro smartphone in China. Priced at $300, the smartphone will be available in Rose Gold, Silver and Gold colour options. It is up for sale on Gionee’s official online store in China.
The S6 Pro flaunts a unibody metal design and also incorporates a fingerprint sensor, in addition to a USB Type-C port.
Talking about the specifications, the Gionee S6 Pro sports a 5.5-inch Full HD 2.5D curved display of 1080x1920 pixel resolution. It is powered by a 1.8GHz octa-core processor paired with 4GB of RAM. The phone offers 64GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded via microSD cards of up to 128GB in size. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system topped with Gionee’s Amigo UI.
As for the cameras, Gionee S6 Pro sports a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and an 8MP selfie shooter. Connectivity options include 4G, LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS, with a 3,130mAh battery rounding up the spec sheet.
Last month, Gionee launched Marathon M5 Plus in India priced at Rs 26,999. The Marathon M5 Plus sports a 6-inch Full HD AMOLED screen of 1,080x1,920 pixels resolution. The smartphone comes with numerous 'modes,' including an energy efficient Eco Mode and an Extreme Mode for the best experience.
The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system with Gionee's Amigo UI baked on top. It is powered by a 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. Internal storage stands at 64GB and can be further expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card.
