Gionee
has expanded its Marathon line-up of smartphones in India with the addition of
Gionee Marathon M5 Plus. Priced at Rs 26,999, the handset will be available online exclusively on
Flipkart as well as leading retail stores.
The Marathon M5 Plus sports a 6-inch Full HD AMOLED screen of 1,080x1,920 pixels resolution. The
smartphone comes with numerous 'modes,' including an energy efficient Eco Mode and an Extreme Mode for the best experience.
The device runs on
Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system with Gionee's Amigo UI baked on top. It is powered by a 1.3GHz octa-core
MediaTek
processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. Internal storage stands at 64GB and can be further expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card.
Gionee Marathon M5 Plus has a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing snapper. Connectivity options include 4G, LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. The
smartphone also comes with a fingerprint sensor for bettery security. A 5,020mAh battery rounds up the spec sheet.
Earlier this year,
Gionee launched its S6 smartphone with a price tag of Rs 19,999. The handset sports a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display and runs on
Android
5.1 Lollipop OS. It is powered by a 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek processor paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of in-built storage. A 13MP rear camera and a 3,150 mAh battery are thrown into the mix as well.
