has launched a budget smartphone P5L in India. Priced at Rs 8,499,
Gionee P5L
is the company's first smartphone offering VoLTE support.
The smartphone is available in black, blue, gold, red, white and yellow colours.
Gionee P5L features a 5-inch HD display with 720 x 1280 pixel resolution and is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core processor. The smartphone packs 1GB RAM and 16GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. There's 2300mAh battery, which the company claims provides up to 9 hours of talk time and a standby time of up to 300 hours.
On camera front, there's 8MP rear camera with LED flash and 5MP camera on front. Connectivity features of Gionee P5L include 4G, GPRS/EDGE, 3G, GPS, Bluetooth, WiFi and microUSB.

Gionee official recently said that the company is targeting a market share of 7-8% in the Indian market this fiscal. Presently, Gionee holds around 5% market share in the country.
