Five reasons to watch Hasva Fasvi

There are certain plays, which attain an iconic stature and become a benchmark for others to follow. Marathi play 'Hasva Fasvi' certainly belongs to this cadre.
Set in a small town of India, 'Hasva Fasvi' starts off with the felicitation of veteran singer and actor Krishnarao Herambakar — one of the six characters played by acclaimed actor Pushkar Shrotri.
Pushkar does full justice to all the characters, evoking endless mirth in the process.
The play is popular across the global, its shows were staged in the US recently, where it got an overwhelming response from Marathi theatre lovers.
The two-act play has been written by veteran actor and playwright Dilip Prabhavalkar. After Prabhavalkar withdrew as the performer in 2000, it was recently revived by Pushkar.
