‘Defaming India And Democracy’:Amit Shah Slams Rahul Gandhi Over Congress’s Shirtless Protest
Union Home Minister Amit Shah criticised Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi over a protest at Makar Dwar in the Parliament of India related to LPG shortages, accusing him of defaming the country and its institutions. Speaking at a public rally in Guwahati, Shah took a swipe at Gandhi’s protest, saying he was seen sitting at the entrance of Parliament having tea and pakoras, which he described as inappropriate for the nation’s highest democratic institution. Shah also criticised the opposition over a shirtless protest by Congress youth workers during the AI Impact Summit in New Delhi, saying global platforms meant to promote India should not be used for political demonstrations or personal politics.
