Elephanta Caves, Maharashtra: Elephanta Caves on Elephanta Island in Maharashtra are a UNESCO World Heritage Site that has intrigued people for centuries now. These rock-cut caves are said to have been created between the 5th and 8th centuries. You’ll be shocked to see the caves here which are noted for their incredible sculptures of Hindu deities.
