Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi issues fresh travel advisory for Indians in UAE: “Avoid unnecessary travel, take due care...”

In a fresh update, India has issued an advisory asking its nationals in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to “avoid unnecessary travel" amid rising tensions across the Middle East. The advisory is issued by the Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi and comes after experiencing disruptions to air travel in the Gulf regions. As per the update, all Indian nationals living in the UAE have been advised to “avoid unnecessary travel, take due care, remain vigilant, and follow safety guidelines and advisories”. The advisory urges nationals to follow local authorities.


The precautionary advisory comes at a time when the Middle East is going through a hard time. The geopolitical tensions in the region along with military strikes have triggered security alerts across Gulf nations.

It is a fact that the UAE is home to one of the largest Indian communities. There are over 3.5 million Indians living and working here. Given the current situation, the Indian government has taken steps for the well-being of its citizens. Officials have urged citizens to stay calm.
