Civil Aviation Ministry activates PACR as airlines suspend West Asia flights; 411 grievances handled so far
As tensions continue to escalate across parts of West Asia, India’s aviation authorities have stepped up efforts to assist affected passengers amid widespread flight disruptions. The Ministry of Civil Aviation said its Passenger Assistance Control Room (PACR) is working round the clock to address grievances and queries from air travellers impacted by the evolving situation.
“In coordination with airlines and airport operators, the Control Room has resolved 411 passenger grievances during the ongoing situation, ensuring timely assistance and support. Helpline numbers provided by Indian Embassies were also actively shared with passengers through the PACR to enable necessary coordination,” the ministry said in its statement.
Passenger concerns received through social media platforms, the AirSewa portal, and dedicated helplines are being closely monitored and prioritised for redressal. The ministry added that helpline numbers issued by Indian Embassies in affected countries are also being actively shared with passengers to facilitate coordination where required.

With the crisis in West Asia widening, several airlines have extended or renewed the suspension of their services to and from parts of the region.
IndiGo said it is taking “measured and responsible decisions across select international sectors,” adding that developments in Middle Eastern airspace are being closely monitored.
Other carriers operating in the region have also adjusted schedules or temporarily halted operations depending on airspace availability and safety assessments.
The Ministry of Civil Aviation has advised passengers to check with their respective airlines before leaving for the airport, as schedules remain subject to change at short notice.
Authorities reaffirmed that in order to guarantee prompt assistance to passengers during the continuing emergency, the PACR will keep an eye on developments and communicate with airlines, airport operators, and Indian representations overseas.
