The Raj Palace, Jaipur (1727)


Located in Jaipur, the palace was built in 1727 and was converted into a hotel years later. It is also counted among the oldest heritage palace hotels in India., the capital of Rajasthan, it was the residence of the royal family of Jaipur. Today, it offers guests an authentic experience of royal living with antique furnishings, frescoes, and sprawling courtyards, representing over 300 years of history and heritage.

The Brijrama Palace, Varanasi (1812)

The Brijrama Palace in Varanasi was originally built in 1812. The palace was transformed into a heritage property in Varanasi in early 90s. It’s one of the best places to stay in Varanasi for those looking for luxury in the sacred city of Uttar Pradesh.

Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai (1903)

Established in 1903, Taj Mahal Palace is a landmark in Mumbai, the capital of Maharashtra. The luxury property is touted as the most prominent heritage hotel in India. The Lalitha Mahal Palace Hotel was built in 1921 to host the Maharaja of Mysore. The property has been serving travellers for over 100 years now and is the second-largest palace in Mysore. The hotel boasts a stunning blend of Renaissance and Indo-Saracenic architecture. The palace was converted into a heritage hotel much later.
