Popular tourist destinations in Himachal Pradesh

Shimla

The state capital remains a perennial favorite. Known as the "Queen of Hills," Shimla’s colonial architecture, Mall Road, and the UNESCO-listed Kalka-Shimla Railway draw crowds. Its proximity to Kufri, a winter sports hub, adds to its appeal.
Manali

Manali

A haven for adventure seekers, Manali’s snow-laden landscapes, Rohtang Pass, and Solang Valley attract thrill-seekers for skiing, paragliding, and trekking. The Atal Tunnel has boosted access to Lahaul-Spiti, making it a year-round destination.

Dharamshala and McLeod Ganj

This region blends spirituality with stunning Himalayan views. The Tibetan culture, monasteries, and trekking routes like Triund make it a magnet for both domestic and foreign tourists, especially from the U.S. and U.K.

Solan

Kinnaur and Spiti

Spiti’s rugged terrain and ancient monasteries, alongside Kinnaur’s apple orchards and Kalpa’s Kinner Kailash views, are increasingly sought after, especially by foreign tourists. If you are visiting Spiti, make sure to spend some days in Langza. Reason being, the region is full of marine fossils.
