India’s Vande Bharat Train Routes: Scenic Journeys You Must Try

Vande Bharat trains have changed the world of travel. It is India's first semi-high-speed train which began service in 2019. This is a revolution as we are shifting from normal trains to semi-high-speed trains that offer unmatched comfort, speed, and innovation. Today, there are over 70 Vande Bharat trains connecting India, covering 16 railway zones.

It has really helped in connecting the major cities and regions with each other at high speed. Not only does it cover the distance at high speed, but the routes it covers are considered to be some of the most scenic routes — from lush landscapes to water bodies.

On this note, let’s take a look at the scenic routes the Vande Bharat goes through:

Thiruvananthapuram – Kasaragod Vande Bharat Express covers the journey from both Thiruvananthapuram to Kasaragod and vice versa. Thiruvananthapuram, the capital of Kerala, which is known for its beautiful beaches as well as for its historic Padmanabhaswamy Temple. It also passes through some backwater regions with beautiful canals and lagoons. Travellers will also witness the Western Ghats foothills and the lush greenery en route, along with the panoramic views of the Arabian Sea coast at Ernakulam. Around Kannur, they might witness the sandy beaches, the fishing villages, and hills.

Patna – Howrah (West Bengal)

This express train connects Bihar and West Bengal. The train departs from Patna Junction and covers eight stations en route till the Howrah Junction. It passes lush green agricultural fields and rivers flowing gracefully, and then enters Haridwar and Roorkee, which have great religious and historical significance. Then the scene shifts to some beautiful landscapes with pine forests, hills, and rivers as they approach Dehradun.
