7 most mysterious places on Earth that travellers can never visit

We are always talking about the famous places on Earth, but today we are going to tell you that there are some places on Earth that are shrouded in mystery, secrecy and kept away from the traveller’s eye. These places are steeped in theories that you can only imagine.

Let’s take a look at seven of the most mysterious places on Earth:

Tomb of Qin Shi Huang

The Tomb of Qin Shi Huang is probably one of the most mysterious attractions on Earth. For those who don’t know, Qin Shi Huang was the first unifier of China. The tomb is surrounded by the famous terracotta warriors and all figures are different, with their horses, chariots, and weapons. What makes it unique is that this tomb was built in a way so that the army could protect the emperor in the afterlife, and scientists abstain from opening the central part of the tomb as it is considered that certain security measures have been installed in it like crossbows and arrows to shoot at intruders.

Snake Island, Brazil

No tourists are allowed on this island as this tiny land is home to lakhs of snakes, specifically a deadly snake species called the “Lancehead viper venom.” This snake is considered to be five times more poisonous than the other snakes found here, as its venom could kill in less than an hour. One could die from kidney failure to internal bleeding and tissue death; it can also melt human flesh. This island got separated from the mainland thousands of years ago because of rising ocean levels.

Area 51, USA

Area 51 remains a top-secret military region in Southern Nevada that has been under speculation for a long time. This area has military bases, national laboratories, and scientific research centers that deal with classified information away from the public eye. People have considered that this land has some alien spacecraft and movement of extraterrestrial life, making it a mysterious land. Who knows!

The Coca-Cola company has developed a World of Coca-Cola Museum in Atlanta, Georgia, where it provides immersive experiences to all its visitors, but this museum is also surrounded in mystery as a vault is located here called “the Vault of the Secret Formula.” It is considered to guard the secret formula of the drink and the formula is inaccessible to the public to protect the legendary Coca‑Cola formula.

The Vatican’s Secret Archives

The name itself depicts some kind of secrecy about the place. This place consists of the Catholic Church’s official paperwork and other information related to the Pope, but this secret archive can only be visited by scholars once they are 75 years old. The name and the fortress-like security of the archive develop a sense of mystery. Some people have come up with sinister theories about what lies inside, like the Vatican is hiding extraterrestrial beings inside.

The Lascaux Caves, France

In 1940, some teenagers stumbled upon the entrance of this cave, and they discovered a mysterious cave that is covered in hundreds of Paleolithic drawings. These drawings are made of mineral pigments and charcoal, known as “the Lascaux Paintings,” which are around 17,000 years old. What makes it interesting is that the purpose and meaning behind the construction of this cave is unknown, and scientists seek to understand that and also dig deeper into the lives of our ancestors.

Svalbard Global Seed Vault

This vault is the world’s largest secure seed storage located on the Norwegian island of Spitsbergen. This facility has an air of mystery to it as it is associated with the “doomsday.” This facility was developed to safeguard a variety of seeds from all over the world for future generations. This will act as a backup, like an insurance policy for global food. This is also considered mysterious as it is not accessible to the public and is located in a remote area.
