Grand temple, grand celebration

2024 is the year when Lord Ram came back to his Kingdom and his birthplace in Ayodhya, to a grand Ram Mandir, on the day of Diwali. Here are some beautiful pictures captured on Diwali, and the days leading up to the festival.

3/11

The colourful celebrations

Ahead of Diwali, the temple was covered in beautiful lights in all colours and one can experience the energy and divinity of the Ram Mandir just through the pictures.

4/11

A celebration to remember

Ayodhya also witnessed grand celebrations in the form of crackers, lights, diyas, and more. The sky was lit up to welcome Lord Ram, and the devotees did their best to make it a memorable day.

5/11

The massive crowds

In the days leading up to Diwali, Ayodhya was filled with visitors and devotees who wished to have one glimpse of Lord Ram and the festivities all around.

6/11

The illuminated streets

The streets leading to the grand Ram Mandir were also lit up and illuminated with lights.

7/11

A magical sky

With crackers bursting all around, the sky looked simply magical. With glitter in the sky, to the beautiful orange colours in the river below, it was all perfectly splendid.

8/11

Aarti pictures

On Diwali, and the days leading up to it, people also came together to perform Aartis with one another. The chants, the mantras, the diyas, all came together in perfect harmony.

9/11

Over 25 lakh diyas were lit

Devotees and volunteers also came together to form beautiful designs and patterns with lit up diyas. Over 25 lakh diyas were lit on the banks of Saryu river which did not just promote local art and pottery but also made way for a Guinness world record.

10/11

Laser shows

Ayodhya also witnessed beautiful laser shows ahead of Diwali that lit up the sky and the temple in beautiful colours.

11/11

Beauty to behold

During the drone show many different figures were made, but the most beautiful was of the trio - Lord Ram, Lakshman, and Mata Sita.
