Walking through the waterlogged streets was a nightmare: Mira Erda
Racing champ Mira Erda, who got back to Vadodara on Monday after winning in the newly introduced women’s category (in Formula 4) of the National Racing Championship held in Coimbatore, was in for an unpleasant surprise on Wednesday. Mira, who is a second-year student of Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communication at a reputed university, left the campus early after it started pouring heavily.

She tells us, “I and my friend Varija Shah (she is a student pilot license holder) left the campus around 2 pm, as it was raining heavily. After my dad picked us up, there was heavy traffic near Waghodia and so, while dad stayed in the car, we decided to get down and walk. But after a while, we were in chest deep water and there was no point in walking back, so we kept moving forward. We walked for three hours through the waterlogged streets before we reached the Airport Circle, where my uncle picked us up in his car and dropped us home. It was a real nightmare, and I reached home around 9.30 pm!”
