Viral video: A passenger opened the emergency exit of the plane to get ‘fresh air’

A woman actually opened the emergency exit door of the plane because she was feeling ‘too stuffy’ despite being warned by her co-passengers. The viral video is shocking yet hilarious.

The bizarre incident took place on flight MF 8215 at Tianhe International Airport in Hubei province delaying the flight by an hour. The woman was travelling northbound from Wuhan to Lanzhou in China when she boarded the Xiamen Airlines flight.

After feeling ‘too stuffy’ inside while others were boarding the plane, she turned the lever to open the emergency door. Though the flight attendants and co-passengers warned her against it, she still went ahead and opened it.




The cabin crew alerted the airport police and reported the incident to the officers. Officers boarded the plane and brought the female passenger to the police station.

Wuhan airport police confirmed the incident to Southern Metropolitan Post but it's unsure if the woman will be charged.

According to China's Public Security Administration Punishment Law, offenders who damages aviation facilities in use shall be detained for 10 to 15 days.
