This Raksha Bandhan is special, as it’s my brother’s birthday too: Mira Erda

From fighting over the remote to bonding over good food, the bond between siblings is unique. As we celebrate Raksha Bandhan today, racing champ Mira Erda is in a happy space. While her elder brother Vrajesh is six years older than her, Mira says that he never behaves like the typical protective elder brother, as he knows that Mira can take care of a lot of things on her own.She tells us, “This Raksha Bandhan is really special because it’s Vrajesh’s (her elder brother) birthday as well. I always refer to him as my ‘Secret Santa’, as he keeps pampering me. While he always makes sure to gift me something special on Raksha Bandhan, I want to make this day special for him too and I will bake a cake for him. Both of us are quite adventurous, and it’s great fun whenever we get to spend time together. Since I have travelled extensively across the globe, he knows that I can handle different types of situations. So, he isn’t over-protective about me. We have our share of fights too, but it only makes our bond stronger. We love going on long drives together, and he always encourages me to have fun and enjoy life to the fullest. He can be annoying at times, but then we get along really well. He knows just what I want and he has often surprised me with some unforgettable gifts. I am blessed to have an elder brother like him, and I really cherish our bond.”
