Little known things about Putin's family
Besides being a Russian politician and a former KGB officer, not much is known about the current President of Russia. While he has made several headlines due to his strict administrative and military policies, he is also infamously known for his alleged ties with the President of America, Donald Trump. However, regardless of his popularity, he has successfully shielded his family from unnecessary media attention and has remained private about his life.
That being said, here is a glimpse of everything you need to know about Vladimir Putin’s life.

His first wife, Lyudmila Shkrebneva
In 1983, the Russian President was married to Lyudmila Shkrebneva, a former flight attendant, with whom he had two daughters. However, after three decades of marriage, the two divorced each other in 2013.

His elder daughter, Maria a.k.a Masha
His eldest daughter, Maria Vorontsova, also known as Masha, is a medical researcher and lives in Moscow with her Dutch husband, Jorrit Faassen.

His younger daughter, Katerina a.k.a Katya
Katerina is the younger of the two sisters and is an accomplished acrobatic dancer. In 2013, she married a Russian billionaire, Kirill Shamalov, but the marriage did not last long and the couple divorced in 2018.
Putin is also a grandfather
Reportedly, Putin also has a granddaughter from his elder daughter, Maria and her husband Fassen. Although it has not been made official, in an interview with filmmaker Oliver Stone in 2017, Putin spilled the beans and told the filmmaker that he was indeed a grandfather.
Rumor has it, Putin has a mystery child with girlfriend Alina Kabaeva
In April, 2008, Russian media house, Moskovsky Korrespondent, reported that Alina Kabaeva, former Russian rhythmic gymnast, was engaged to Vladimir Putin. However the story was denied and the newspaper was shut down. That being said, it has also been speculated that Putin might have fathered another daughter with Kabaeva.

Contrary to his stern political ideas, he is a loving father
Father of two – possibly 3 – daughters, Vladimir Putin has proven himself as a loving father. Infamous for his strict policies all over the world, the politician-cum-father has given his daughters all the love and luxury they could ever think of. In a quote on Putin's government, Putin's former wife has said, ""Not all fathers are as loving with their children as he is.""And he has always spoiled them, while I was the one who had to discipline them", she added.
