Professor Ranjan Das turns filmmaker at the age of 75

Prof. Ranjan Das is a IIM professor by profession and an enthusiastic producer and actor in passion, though he is a reputed professor yet he does not shy away from being a student of acting and also establish himself as a budding producer, he has officially produced five movies named 'Nassir kouto', 'The Flowers of the Mountain' and the latest which is to be released 'Khelaghar Badhte Legechi' two of his projects are yet to be announced.

The Next Ideation Entertainment [TNIE] is a production house which mainly focuses on providing a space to young and budding actors and the newcomers, under the leadership of Prof. Ranjan Das. TNIE is an honest organization with the main motive of producing and creating good content for the audience of Bengal.

Prof. Ranjan Das who has recently turned 75 this year rekindled his curiosity regarding movie making thus coming to this industry to know it all. According to him he is still learning a lot about movies and its making and will continue to do so till he reaches perfection.

His upcoming movie named 'Khelaghar Badhte Legechi' is very close to his heart and his main reason behind investing in this movie is because of the storytelling and it being so close to an upsetting reality, Prof. Ranjan Das has always rooted for the young generation but the way today's youth is investing itself in things not necessary made him do this movie. Not only he is the producer of the movie but he also worked with the young director of the movie Shibaji Dutta as a Co Director and showed him and the young team the path whenever the team needed help.

His upcoming movie Khelaghar Badhte Legechi is a family entertainer and Joy Sengupta, Bashabdutta Chatterjee and Partha Sarathi Deb are part of the film which profoundly spreads a much needed message for the parents and to the kids of today's generation and also the impact of Artificial Intelligence. It is said that his other upcoming movies are to be announced pretty soon.

His previous projects like 'Nassir Kouto' which had a the very talented artist Laboni Sarkar did fairly well in the theaters. He was the whole and sole producer behind this project. His other project ' Flowers of the Mountain' has achieved praises in the film festivals internationally and nationally Jaya Seal, Subrata Dutta and Debashis Mondol are part of the cast
