In a pink ruffled gown that weighed over 20kg and was made with 1000 meters of fabric, 22-year-old Nancy Tyagi walked down the Cannes red carpet. The content creator from Baghpat in UP, who stitched the outfit herself, was appreciated by celebs, netizens and other creators for her humbling journey. “Sapne se upar ki chiz thi yahan aana, socha nahi tha kabhi, Baghpat se hoon main. Thode din pehle tak sirf Mumbai or Delhi hi dekha tha, ab red carpet pe bhi chali Cannes mein. Hum chhote shehar wale kahan aise sapne dekhenge,” she says. On her social media, Nancy has recreated looks by Alia Bhatt, Kiara Advani and others. In her videos, she discusses the celeb look she plans to recreate and hunts for the fabric around Delhi. Ask her if she would like to create an outfit for a celeb and Nancy says, “Mere favourite celeb Shah Rukh Khan hain. Agar unke liye outfit banane mil gaya toh...bol bhi nahi paa rahi aage. Shabd nahi hai.”
