Iti Acharya stars in Merlin Babaji’s new music video

The actor is excited to be the face of the song that is her Hollywood debut

Model-turned actor Iti Acharya is busy sprucing up her talents. She turns producer for a music video where she collaborates with rapper Merlin Babaji, better known for Vibes and Run the City. The music video’s trailer is scheduled for release on March 20, at the Times Square billboard in New York City. Iti speaks about her new venture and more.
‘We were supposed to work together last year’
I have been in touch with Merlin since 2022. I know him through my brother Abhi who is also a US-based Grammy nominee. I was to work with Merlin last year, but it kept getting delayed. Now, we finally decided to plan it out properly.

‘Super excited to be the face of this song’
It’s exciting for me; to be the face of a song. I have been searching for something that puts me on the international platform. I feel like this song, which has a pan-global appeal, will surely get me there.

‘Coordinating this was a challenge’
While it was not easy to coordinate something from halfway around the world, I let go of other projects to focus entirely on the song. After a years’ worth of hard work, it is a unique collaboration. I hope people everywhere, including back home, love it.

‘Excited about this project, my Hollywood debut’
I am excited about this project – it will be my big Hollywood debut. In my journey, I have learnt that I don’t want to be everywhere. I want to be in places where I am accepted, admired, and encouraged for who I am.

‘Song was written for me’
Merlin wrote the song Love Her Too Much for me, and it’s amazing. I have always wanted him to write something for me. I co-produced this song with Merlin, and it is the first big commercial project for the production house I am a part of.
