Hondisi Bareyiri rekindles lost art of posting letters

Mr Postman is sure to knock on your doors, if he hasn’t already! Even as Hondisi Bareyiri releases on February 10, the nostalgia of letter writing is at an all-time high as the team has sent 15,000 letters across Karnataka – elucidating the core element of the film, and now another 50,000 are set to be delivered to doorsteps. The Praveen Tej, Anirudh Acharya, Shri, Aishani Shetty and Naveen Shankar starrer is rekindling the art of letter writing.


A surprised post officeEven director Ramenahalli Jagannatha surprised the post office folk, “Letter writing is waning. When we visited post offices, they were surprised at our quantum of letters. I have personally sourced 15,000 addresses, and we are preparing to send 50,000 letters directly to home post boxes now.”
A matter of letters In an era where letters are extinct, Hondisi Bareyiri, the director says delves into human emotions, evokes nostalgia, “It is a 12-year journey of five protagonists. Similarly, letters were a catalyst to stay connected with loved ones in a bygone era. Written from the heart, they deepened bonds and relationships. Even the waiting period to receive letters was a way of cherishing relationships.”
