Set in Delhi, which has gained notoriety as rape capital of India, four women from various parts of the NCR region, meet by chance in a ‘ladies only’ taxi ride. Getting into an altercation with a man who’s teasing them, they end up choosing to kidnap him, breaking him physically mentally to send out a message. This film, Tottaa Pataaka Item Maal is set to go international with a screening at the 17th Garden State Film Festival 2019 in the US to be held in March.

The film is directed by Aditya Kripalani a FTII graduate who shot to fame with three international bestselling books Backseat, Frontseat and Tikli and Laxmi Bomb. He recently directed and co-produced his third book Tikli And Laxmi Bomb into a film with the same title.

The film’s star cast includes Shalini Vatsa, Chitrangada Chakraborty, Sonal Joshi and Kritika Pande. Chitrangada, who plays a martial artist had gone bald for this role. “For a martial artist, long hair is disadvantageous, mainly because it offers opponent a grip to hurt you. As a practitioner I was asked to cut my hair extremely short. Thus, to lend her role more authenticity, this decision was taken,” says Aditya Kriplani.
