Pictures of cricketer Arjun Hoysala going down on his knees in Kashmir and proposing to cricketer Veda Krishnamurthy has had social media abuzz. We got Veda to share details.
“We are having a formal engagement on Sunday with our close friends and family in Bengaluru. Since I will be busy with my domestic cricket season, we are looking at our wedding sometime after that, next year,” reveals Veda.
As for the rather unusual proposal, Veda shares: “It came as a surprise to me. I kept trying to guess. I had a hint that something like this was on the cards. But I didn’t know where and when. I was completely taken aback. I wasn’t expecting something so beautiful, it was really sweet of him to pull off something like this. He took me to Doodhpathri in Kashmir to propose,” shares Veda.
Quiz her about their love story and Veda says, “We have been in a relationship for a year now. It was something that happened organically. Right now, it is about understanding and figuring out how practical we can be. I have been independent all these years and I am happy that his family is sweet and understanding. The fact that Arjun is a cricketer has its advantages. There are a lot of things that check themselves on the list. We felt that we are meant for each other. I am happy with the way things have turned out,” she signs off.
