Whether you have a Valentine’s Day date, a night out with your girls or guys, or a solo day out, wearing an outfit that’s in sync with the day’s theme will only add to the occasion. Be it a denim-on-denim look for a casual brunch date, a colour-blocked outfit, or a deconstructed jacket for dinner date, here are some celebrity fashion inspirations to get your V-Day look together.

For the quintessential dinner date

For her: A dinner date at a fancy restaurant over good food and conversations calls for an outfit that screams chic. Skip that LBD and take inspiration from Kiara Advani and her vibrant red blazer with dramatic floral detailing, paired with high-rise shorts. Wear stilettos, pull your hair back in a pony, apply eyeliner, carry a clutch and you are set.

For him: An evening look calls for a formal jacket. But formal doesn’t need to be boring. Opt for a different colour or pattern, just like Babil Khan, pair with sneakers, and some sleek silver accessories like a bracelet.

For a night out with friends

For her: If red isn’t your thing, and neither is the concept of going out on a V-Day date, who says you still can't rock a Valentine’s Day fit? Look no further than Kriti Sanon and her fun outfit, which is perfect for a girls’ night out. Don’t be afraid to mix colours, prints and patterns, but remember that the outfits have one neutral colour to hold the look together. Picking colours from the same colour family is also a safer idea. Keep your rest of the look clean – neat ponytail or top bun, hoops and monotoned heels.

For him: Since the idea is to be relaxed and have a good time, nothing can beat the comfort and charm of jeans. A cool pair of sneakers, and a casual jacket with t shirt underneath, would make for a good OOTN. Add to that, oodles of charm a la Siddharth Malhotra.

For a solo date

For her: A co-ord set, complete with jacket, spells boss-babe. If you are taking yourself out on V-Day (because why not!), get inspired by Shraddha Kapoor's tie-and-dye high-waist trousers with cropped top and jacket. Leave your hair loose, if you have short hair, or tie it up in case you have long hair, wear sneakers, some dainty necklace and ear studs and let yourself look and feel good.

For him: Ishaan Khatter's stylish, denim-on-denim look, will make heads turn. Jeans, paired with a denim shirt, or jeans with a white t shirt and a denim jacket, accessorised with a belt and shades would be ideal.

For a brunch date

For her: Opt for colour-blocking, a la Rashmika Mandana, for that perfect brunch outfit. Style shades of red with orange, pink, or lilac, and pair gold or silver metals as accessories, depending on your skin tone.\

For him: Few things look as good as a white shirt. Picture-perfect for brunch, pair a white shirt with relaxed-fit trousers and kicks, and cool sunnies. Don't forget to wear a watch like Sunny Kaushal, a few accessories here and there and you are done.
