City's college clubs brim with activity

National Institute of Design (NID) is home to various clubs. The film club is the most popular. Param Walvekar, a third year student and a member of the club, says, “The film club has five to seven members at a time and it is open to both under-graduate and postgraduate students from different disciplines. We screen films twice a week. We organise discussion session and screenings of films and often invite their directors.We organise poster making competitions too. We’ve organised parallel cinema week and horror weeks at the end of every semester. We have had guest speakers like Anirban Ghosh, Vinay Shukla and others.”
