Children’s activity Cubes recalled after risk of choking
In a strict action towards kids' safety, ATOYUS Children’s activity cubes will be pulled back from the market over safety concerns. Designed for learning and play, ATOYUS Children’s Activity Cubes pose a high risk of choking for young kids. This stern action was announced on April 16, which involved around 70 wooden activity cubes sold online through Amazon between January and February 2026 for around $26. Here’s more…
Risk for kids
These activity cubes were designed to engage kids and make their playtime interesting, as these toys were meant for children under age 3. However, there were certain components, including xylophone screws and clock hands, that may detach and pose serious risks.
The real risk
As per the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the mallet that comes with the toy also has rounded ends that may pose a choking hazard, and because of these issues, the toy does not meet federal safety standards for children’s toys.
What’s more, the activity cube includes multiple features on each side, such as a shape sorter, xylophone, learning clock, rotating gears and a farm-themed puzzle as per the official statement by CPSC. Moreover, these toys also come with 15 small pieces, a playmat and a bead maze on top. The product can be identified by the brand name ATOYUS and “Model No. GLBB554” printed on the packaging.
A preventive measure
By far no injuries have been reported so far, but as per the advice, consumers are advised to stop using the toy right away and keep it away from kids to ensure their safety.
