Cannes Classics to screen Godard, Hitchcock's films

The 2023 edition of Cannes Classics will pay tributes to master filmmakers and restored versions of all-time classics will be screened. On May 5, Cannes unveiled the line-up.
Cannes Classics’ Memories of Jean-Luc Godard will pay tribute to Godard. His films “Contempt” (1963); “Godard by Godard, Phony Wars.
Cannes said in a statement,"The Festival de Cannes presents Cannes Classics 2023, dedicated to the one who said: “With cinema, we talk about everything, we get to everything”, Jean-Luc Godard, whose last work, Phony Wars, will be
presented, like all his latest films, in world premiere at the Festival de Cannes.
