Bengali play exploring the ill effects of materialism staged in Dubai
Choloman Oshoriri, a Bengali play that delves deep into the human psyche and how it is allured by materialism was recently staged at a Dubai auditorium, and has received praises from thespian Sohini Sengupta and actor Siddhartha Chatterjee.
Looking forward to the performance Sohini said, “I wish the initiative the very best,” while Siddhartha, known for his portrayal of Topshe in the original Feluda films, shared, “I hope the play comes to Kolkata soon as I’m sure the city audience will resonate with it.”

Directed by Shubho Banerjee, the play features Jitaditya Roy as Dr Mriganko Nandi and Dibyo Basu as Ashim, a ghost along with several well-known actors in the Dubai theatre space.Looking forward to the performance Sohini said, “I wish the initiative the very best,” while Siddhartha, known for his portrayal of Topshe in the original Feluda films, shared, “I hope the play comes to Kolkata soon as I’m sure the city audience will resonate with it.”
