Bengali film Putul receives standing ovation at Cannes screening

Indira Dhar Mukherjee’s Putul was screened at the Marche Du Film – Festival de Cannes on Friday. The film, which features Mumtaz Sorcar, Koneenica Banerjee, and Tanusree Shankar in pivotal roles, focuses on future generations of India and the responsibility of citizens in this regard.
Indira, who started her speech in Bengali at the fest, said, “I told the audience that I did it because I am representing a Bangla film at the festival.

Mumtaz, who attended the screening told us that the audience loved the film.
