Mantras against evil eye

Black magic and evil eye can ruin things even for the most fortunate and positive people. One moment you could be playing around with your children in the most beautiful houses, the next you will be stranded alone in life, with a child who grew distant all of a sudden. Happiness, good energies, positivity, etc, can all be affected by evil eyes and black magic. And so, it is best to know some mantras to help clean off these energies.
Here we mention 6 mantras that are believed to protect against black magic and evil eye.

2/7

‘Om Namah Shivaay’

One of the easiest and most powerful mantras dedicated to Lord Shiva is ‘Om Namah Shivaay’. It has a very simple meaning - I bow to Lord Shiva, and when a devotee bows down to him and surrenders themselves to Shiva, they are automatically protected against any black magic or evil eye. Shiva is the Adiyogi, the supreme ascetic, and all the all-powerful, and he makes sure that none of his children and devotees are ever plagued by the effects of black magic and evil eye of any sort.

So, if you ever feel that you have been affected by evil intentions, every monring after taking a bath and cleansing yourself, sit tight in your home temples and chant ‘Om Namah Shivaay’ 108 times. Light a diya, focus on the energy that is around you, and chant the mantra.

3/7

Mahamrityunjaya mantra

The Mahamrityunjay is another extremely powerful mantra of Lord Shiva that helps stay away from bad energies, evil eye, and black magic. The meaning of the mantra is - I pray to the three-eyed Lord Shiva, the one who is fragrant and nourishes all beings. I pray he frees me from the bondage of death and fear when the time is right.
The Mahamrityunjaya mantra is also called the ‘death conquering’ mantra and has been chanted since time immemorial to get rid of the fear of illnesses, evil, and also death.
Every morning, when you sit in the puja room for your daily prayers, or just before you head to bed, chant the Mahamrityunjaya mantra 108 times and see how the magic of Lord Shiva protects you and nourishes you through and through.

4/7

Om Hraum Joom Sah

The mantra ‘Om Hraum Joom Sah’ is said to be the Mahamrityunjay beej mantra, and is also called the short version of the Mahamrityunjay, but also very powerful. Starting with the powerful chant of ‘Om’, the primordial sound of the Universe, it sets the energy for positivity and pure intentions. ‘Hraum’ is said to destroy all negativity and ignorance. ‘Joom’ acts as a protective shield against evil, and ‘Sah’, is the energy that seals the protections around the chanter.

5/7

‘Om Vajrapani Hum Phat’

‘Om Vajrapani Hum Phat’ is a mantra from Buddhist traditions and means - My prayer to Vajrapani, the one who holds the thunderbolt.
This mantra is associated with Vajrapani, a bodhisattva who represents the power of all Buddhas. He is seen as a protector of all and is shown holding a Vajra (thunderbolt) in hand, his eyes showing a sense of power, and his body language ready to attack an evil presence.
By chanting this mantra, devotees call the Vajrapani’s energy to help them fight off evil energy and black magic intentions.

6/7

‘Om Rudra Bhi Drava Ho’

Another simple mantra to chant is the ‘Om Rudra Bhi Drava Ho’. It is dedicated to the fierce form of Lord Rudra and asks him to come to your aid during times of trouble. It is also said that people, especially pregnant women should chant this mantra, at least 108 times a day to stay protected from evil energies and to protect their life and the life growing inside them.

7/7

Vishnu mantra

A mantra dedicated to Lord Vishnu is also helpful when it comes to protection against evil eye. The Vishnu mantra - ‘Om Apavitrah Pavitro Va Sarvavastham Gato’pi Va, Yah Smaret Pundarikaksham Sa Bahyabhyantarah Shuchih’ means - Whether pure or impure, wherever you may be, whoever remembers Lord Vishnu becomes pure from the inside and out.
This mantra is like a purification chant and helps cleanse people from any stagnant or evil energy that surrounds them. It can be recited before puja, rituals, in general when meditating, and helps cleanse your aura to keep your energies high and positive.
