ABC smoothie
Apart from using beetroot in vegetables, salads and soups, you can also juice them together with an apple to make a refreshing smoothie that's rich in vitamin C. Here's how to go about it.

Ingredients
Apples - 150gms
Carrot- 200 gms
Beetroot - 50 gms
Rock salt - 1/2 tsp
Ice - 2 cubes
Method
Place all the ingredients and ice cubes in a blender together. Blend until smooth.

Scoop pulp in a fine mesh strainer. Press down on the pulp with a spoon to squeeze the juice out into a glass. Sprinkle some rock salt and stir.
