Did you know about the first jobs of these billionaires?

Well, not every billionaire in the world has inherited his wealth. Many of these stepped into the professional world with corporate jobs or by starting their own business, and eventually went on to become one of the wealthiest people on this planet. From working at a restaurant, advertising agency to distributing newspapers and selling garbage bags, here are seven billionaires who come from very humble beginnings.

2/8

Jeff Bezos

You will be shocked to know Amazon’s founder Jeff Bezos worked at McDonalds in his first job. But as they say ‘knowledge is everywhere’, Bezos (who was 16 years old at that time) opines he learned the nuances of business there including customer service, automation and the value of being responsible.

3/8

Elon Musk

Elon was a huge fan of technology and space from his childhood days and wrote the code for his own space-themed video game called ‘Blastar’ when he was 12 years old. He later sold it to a technology magazine for 500 dollars.

4/8

Richard Branson

The founder of Virgin Group had a very interesting beginning in the professional world. After being dropped out of the school, he started a youth cultural magazine called Student.

5/8

Warren Buffett

Warren Buffett needs no introduction in the business world and has a present net worth of around 82 billion US dollars. But did you know his first job was of a newspaper delivery boy?

6/8

Mark Zuckerberg

Mark Zuckerberg was a college student when he founded Facebook but he had started working long before that. In fact, he founded music-recommendation software called Synapse in his high school days and many companies, including Microsoft, showed interest in purchasing it and even offered him a job. But he obviously had some other better plans in his mind!

7/8

Mark Cuban

Businessman and investor Mark Cuban had an entrepreneur’s mindset since his childhood. He was only 12 years old when he started going door-to-door to sell garbage bags so that he could buy basketball shoes. He credits his hustler attitude as one of the key reasons of his success.

8/8

Ted Turner

After being suspended from his college for bringing a woman in his dorm, Ted Turner started working in his father’s advertising agency. He had a natural flair for business but who knew he would start Cable News Network (CNN) one day, eventually become a business magnate and one of the wealthiest people in the world!

Every business comes with a risk. The men who founded facebook or YouTube, didn't know, that they will found such great businesses some day. Its a kind of wait and watch theory, without any guarantee. But we indians want guarantee in everything. That's why we are good employee, but not great entrepreneurs.
